A Character About Characters
Last week the Tongginator played Chinese School with Tonggu Daddy. I had to swallow back my chuckles as I listened to her boss him around, correct his tones and generally act like her momma a know-it-all. I couldn't suppress the giggles, however, when I saw the Tongginator lean over the Husband's shoulder to critique his work.
"That's not bad... for a dad."

Too cute!
He did WAY better than I can. Amelia NEVER comes to me for help with her Chinese school homework. She knows if she doesn't remember a character it's best to try on her own and hope she doesn't have to re-do them during class;)
Oh my gosh. I thought you were going to say that the Togginator wrote those characters. I almost had a heart attack. Those are some pretty darn good characters.
Now, is he sure about the stroke order or did he google it....tee hee.
He was good with it I'm sure!! We dad's "get it"!
hugs - aus and co.
Heh heh. I remember absolutely loathing Chinese class, and loathing the work even more.
Gotta say, it's really strange to see simplified characters. I'm so used to traditional ones now. XD
How cute! It seems like she's enjoying her Chinese lessons.
Oh, I see a lot of papers like that in my house too. I swear I write the characters just like she does...but she laughs at me when I do it. Clearly, I'm missing something.
I finally told my Chinese teacher that I was giving up on writing characters. I have poor handwriting in English and the precision required to write characters was beyond me! At least beyond the level of hard work I needed to do. Those aren't too bad!
