Oh...my...lands!(See TM, you DO have an impact on me.) :P
Or, the best parents evah, depending on who you ask. Aiden would be in heaven with that set!
wow. years of use of out of that baby. years of use.
Think I missed reason 5,102...Hugs,Carla
Yes, years and years of use! Hope you survive. I think back to the year of trumpet when you were in elem. school and I laugh. We had NO basement. But, you are blessed and you DO so the Tongginator will be in heaven for years to come.
I think it's great!! We've got a drummer in the family - even was on the DRUM LINE in the HS band (and that's something - the drum line is the heart and soul of the band!) But then again - band is a cult.....If you take off a drum head off the floor base and put a pillow in there you'll be happer!Great stuff - hugs - aus and co.
Just exactly what kind of drugs are you on right now??? I didn't think sinus stuff was that wacky.
If you're an idiot, I was an idiot first. We have one of them and we have two boys AND Sonia. Top that. ;-)
Oh, TM, what are you thinking!?!?! Was this a well thought out, long desired wish fulfilled, or a free cycle deal you couldn't pass up?My little bro had a set and mom couldn't wait for the day he changed instruments and sold the drums. I think my heart rhythm adjusts to the beat when my neighbor practices- across the street- in is garage. It's so loud. At least he is very good. I can't imagine that in my house! What a good mom you are!
Just smiling that it's YOUR basement and not MINE! :) But honestly, they look like SO much fun! :)
You are the Best. Mom. Ever.
Now I know why you thought the guitar was a 'better' idea! ;)Jill
You are a brave, brave woman.
hahahahahahahaha!!!!Although, I am sure my kiddos would love a drum set as well!!But still....hahahahahahahaha!
Would you prefer prayers or aspirin?
I think I might label you as brave parents. :-D
Thanks heavens my kids prefer the guitair at this point! :)Actually I think its wonderful...especially in someone elses' basement! ;)
You are a good mom! We got our now 11 yr old son drums when he was 7. He hasn't stopped playing since. And he's really good. My husband's parents wouldn't let him play drums when he was growing up and he still regrets it (so do his parents).
I'm not sure the term idiot applies when you do it to yourselves. Had you given another kid that drum set, then for sure! But when T loves it you're just good, soon-to-be-deaf parents, no? Or should I say "NO!?!?".
You are the best parents ever! Go Tongginator!
Woman, are you high on sinus meds? Who in their right mind would do this to themselves!??!?!Just kidding... sort of...LOL!
Oh my oh my oh my!!
Mouth agape....that's all I got for ya!My heart actually started beating faster just thinking about one of those in my house. You are far more woman than me :0)C&C
Methinks you are about to learn the link between action and consequence. HARD CORE.*snicker*"I. Don't wanna work. I just wanna bang on de drum all day."
this was a freebie that we didn't pass upand i was a band geek (sax)and i was a drum majorand i secretly always wanted to be a drummerand bose noise canceling headphones are on next years santa list
You know...you always post these "Idiot Parent" posts, and I think..."Hmmmm....that was nothing." But this time? All I looked at the picture and thought, "Jeez, maybe this time she's right."
Is this one of those times that when you complain about the noise it IS appropriate to say "well, you chose this life?"
And I thought the accordion Meg got for Christmas was bad... Two words: ear plugs.
As the wife and mother of two percussionists... I have two words for you: ear plugs.Should have sprung the extra bucks for an electronic set... they come with headsets for the percussionist and are silent to the rest of the household.I should send you an email with a link to my son's fall performance just so you can be encouraged to see what years of lessons can produce. Great stuff!!!
You are definitely crazy. I thought we were bad with the amp arriving for the 16 year old. You beat me! Yay you!
Woohoo! Andrew is counting down the days until I declare that our kids are old enough to "responsibly handle" a drum set (if there is such a thing). If she needs a quick lesson or two let us know. He can play any instrument you put in front of him.
You are either the coolest mom in the entire world or......well, let's just say you are super cool! LOL
Charlotte wants one too. We may just buy her one when she gets older....
LOVE IT!! Right on mama.
hee hee hee! I got our DS one at the same age--he was 6, and Daddy was overseas, got to spend that danger pay on *something!* :) But we have no close neighbors--they are several football fields away, so it does not matter how loud DS gets.
LOL!!! Those little stinkers have might powers against us...we don't stand a chance ;)
We bought our son his first set of drums, so can't wait to see if AA wants them too! Love it!Alyzabeth's Mommy
Woman...(and I mean this in the best way possible). You have lost your ever lovin' mind. Bless your heart. ;-) (I bet she was THRILLED!! I know what Siu Jeun's reaction would be...haha)
THAT is truly evil. And completely banned from our home. although they make drum pads with EARPHONE JACKS you know!
