She's the Best

Y'all, I think I feel a little bit sick. And it's not because I've been eating too much peppermint bark. Although I have. Been eating too much peppermint bark, I mean. Ahem. No, I feel sick, y'all, because the Tongginator came home with a little something in her backpack yesterday.

The Tongginator thinks she knows who it is from. Because he gave it to a girl, who gave it to another girl, who then passed it along to the Tongginator. But still... it's from "mystery."

The Husband about had a heart attack, but feels grateful (and relieved) that the Tongginator's idea of a love note remains this...

Y'all didn't realize I was cute, did you?

I knew you were funny ;)

And what is the Tongginator supposed to win?

I dunno if ya'll are cute or not - never seen your face - you've got this 'thing' about privacy! You ARE extremely clever, witty and funny however!

what's the 'contest' T is in?

hugs - aus and co.

At least she made it to first grade before getting the love notes. And hey - he likes China....that's got to be some kind of plus. I don't think the kids in MM's class even know there is a China.

It definitely starts early! Don't even get me started on junior high love..eek! Such a sweet note from your daughter. It's a keeper!

*gasp* Is that a LOVE NOTE? In 1st grade?! eeeke! You all move fast down South. We're a bit more stand off-ish up here in New York. (she says with hope in her heart) Good luck with that TM!

WOW! My 13 year old has his first (gulp) girlfriend and I am so not ready! Doesn't surprize me that the Tongginator has a secret crush!!! Too cute! And yes of course I knew you were (ahem) cute!!! LOL!!!

Oh, my... :-) Save it for posterity. You'll get lots of chuckles out of that one later. Love her love note to mom, too. :-)

Love that note to you. My Lily writes me cute ones too, but not quite so big! One of my students last year wrote me a note telling me I was "sparkling, dazzling, beautiful, and stylish." I figured she must have meant someone else!

I have a huge smile right now because when I was cleaning my boys' room last weekend, I found a "love note" my 8 year-old son wrote to a GIRL (who I thought still had cooties) but apparently never had the nerve to deliver. Gotta love it.

And so it begins...

Yep, your are pretty cute! And I LOVE her love note to you. Ahnalin has had some boys in love with her, but nothing serious, thankfully at 6!
However, tell your hubby to watch out for heart pain when she falls in love with a real boy in her teens. Don really struggled with this when India was in love.

Of course we knew you were cute, smart, funny, and awesome at words with friends. And more importantly, a pretty spectacular mom.

That's adorable! And SOOO much better than the kinds of things guys says to girls on facebook when they're 16 instead of 6.

it gets worse. You won't believe the drama that encompasses 4th grade romances until you're there. Good luck, but I'm willing to bet whoever she winds up eventually is going to have to be pretty strong and independent (and sweet and funny and smart and. . .) to keep up with Miss T! (Not that we're even thinking that far ahead! : )

When I was younger I had a "fort" under the stairs in our basement. There are all sorts of "notes" under there. It still cracks me up now when I go to get something from there and see "Sharie loves Patrick" all scribbled out. You must save this for her:)

I've always said that one will keep you on your toes but I didn't know it would start this soon!

I always thought you were cute...even though I don't think I have ever seen your face? I can tell by your personality:)

Lottie still thinks boys are yucky. Hoping your sweet girl thinks so too!!!!
