Stop It!

Look what I found hanging on our refrigerator yesterday afternoon...

Something tells me that the cat? Is out of the bag. Because it looks like the Tongginator recently figured out mei meis aren't always all that. I'm a-thinking we're in for a bumpy ride this spring...

BWAhahahahaha.

Yeah...they're AWESOME before they learn to crawl. And then they're kind of just...annoying, until they learn some rules. Like around age 3. ;-) Have her talk to Ming Wai. She can fill her in. ;-)

(Funny thing, though - Ming Wai gets along FAMOUSLY with her cousin MiMi. Who's 3 months older than Siu Jeun. *sigh* It's just a sibling thing!)

Oh! This looks like it is going to be an interesting time for you.

You might be surprised - at least she's willing to put it out there on front street! Yeah - when we adopted Chase we figured that the two youngest would be 2 years apart....what we got was one that started grossly delayed and another that you could only describe as 'advanced' (figures eh?) - we've taken to referring to the two youngest as 'the twins'....oh the joys of parenting sometimes....but little by little they are finding their balance!

hugs - aus and co.

That just made my morning- too funny! I can say that since I've been there, done that. :)

You would have thought that she would have already figured that out from watching M&M and Baby Ruth in action. BUT, either someone told her about this sibling stuff or she watched 2 sisters argue recently. Apparently they weren't yet hitting which is good!!!!!

She'll do fine with her mei mei. The age difference is enough that she'll be the beloved, idolized big sister and will be followed around in the total adoration befitting a butterfly princess.

At least she has an idea of what's coming and doesn't have to go from "fairyland expectations" to reality without warning.

And while transition time can be rough, it does get better!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...your girl is awesome. ;)

Ahh... welcome to the real world! LOL My sister and I were almost 6 years apart. At first, she was like a play thing as I helped to "mother" her. As I entered the teen years, she became simply "the pesky little kid." But now, she's my best friend. You'll hit all kinds of stages in their relationship over the years.

At least she is prepared. :D

She'll love her little sister and vice versa. She's gonna make a great big sis.

Forewarned is fore armed. And that's all I have to say about that.

My fingers are crossed for you...tightly! :)

When the yelling and hitting starts, that's when you know the family is gelling. I remember very well when both big brothers started yelling at Luci to STOP! GET OUT OF MY ROOM! M-O-O-O-M!!! It was noisy, but like music because NOW we are a family. Not just "a family with an adopted girl."

What Suzy said. :-) My girls are the best of friends much of the time, but they can also push each other's buttons. They also adore their little brother, but not so much when he's in their stuff.

Is it time for positive reinforcement??!! :)

Oh well, my sister and I had our moments too. Many of them. And I love her so much!

My sister was 4-years older than me and I followed her around like a puppy dog - she couldn't move fast enough to get away from me. It's going to be FUN watching this new relationship develop;)

That is hilarious!
Stop it! How many times a day do I hear that from my 3 year old? I think those were the second two words he learned, right next to..."I tell mommy"! :) How do these kids learn that so fast? Somebody help me! :)

Oh that is too funny!
And I'm thinking you'll handle those bumps just fine.

Haha!! That is so funny......

I think the Tongginator will be a wonderful big sis.

Your time is almost here.....just a few more months!!! Can you believe it? I can hardly believe we are just 4 or 5 weeks away from meeting our daughter. It is so surreal!

xoxo,

Lisa

that is definitely part of the journey with sisters. but the bestest part? how they one day become your very best friends, your closest confidants. i am so much more, so much happier, because of my sisters.

Oh what a ride it will be! I can't wait to see what your little one is like, and how Tongginator relates to her. It's been a VERY bumpy, wonderful ride for us the last month and a-half!!
