Birthdays and Gifts

It's my birthday today! Which means I need to give something away, since I am all about distracting to avoid attention. I don't care about everyone knowing my age (I'm 36 today); it's more that I feel uncomfortable when people stare at me and such. And, unfortunately, birthday girls pretty much always get stared at (something that the Tongginator absolutely demands, of course, whereas I - on the other hand - would rather sink through the floor).

Thank goodness that I promised - over two weeks ago - to give away a little something, but of course I failed to do so until now. Because I am nothing if not prompt. I told y'all I would send along a fairly lame musical something to anyone who shared their favorite adoption-related songs in the comments of this post (or the one over at Grown In My Heart). And guess who that lucky someone is?

Oh, the suspense! I can hardly take it! You totally
can't either, can you? CAN you? Because you just KNOW my
little gift will flash you back in time to your teen years, when
you swapped mixed tapes with best friends and boyfriends.

Who's gonna be cursed blessed with one
of Tonggu Momma's infamous gifts?
*insert loud and obnoxious drum roll please*
And the Tongginator selected...

You totally can't read it, can you? I know, I know... I haven't had to use my Teacher Writing in YEARS, y'all, so I've gotten lazy. It's Amy of Raising Tomatoes! Amy, send me an email so that I can get your mailing address. I mean, if you trust me with it and all.

Because who knows? Maybe I'm a crazy stalker or something.

Or... maybe YOU are. Hmm....

Happy Birthday!! I always did like hanging out with OLDER girls.

I have the opposite problem with birthdays. On my birthday, I keep waiting for the parade, but it's never for me! It's hard to share a birthday with Jesus; he get's all the attention.

Big Birthday Hugs to you TM!!
And congratulations to Amy the Tomato gal.

Love,
GP

Happy Birthday! Hope it is filled with blessings!! And yes, I too recognized the infamous silly bands. We had successfully AVOIDED them until we made a road trip to TN over Mem. Day weekend and ALL the cousins had them and lavished many upon my kiddos...yes...even Josiah. (sigh)
I very dislike FADS.
Ah well!
Have a piece of cake for me! :) I will be 36 later on this year!
May this be the year our second daughters come home! :) Wouldn't that be a great belated birthday gift?? :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! For your present, I will take back my last comment directed at your mom about having a kid like you. Aren't I generous, though?

But seriously, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope your day is filled with lots of love and lots of fun. May God bless you richly this year!

Happy Birthday girly. You're just a youngster, and I can say that! ;)

May I also say you're wise beyond your years, because you are. It's a compliment.

Ugh,your birthday is basically the alarm bell that mine is just around the corner. So, how's 36 different from 35 so far? Did your hips give way yet? Eyesight? I think it might be my back that's first to go.....will be sure and let you know in August!

Aaaaaack! I missed your birthday! I soooo sowwwy! Happy 36th. Sheesh, I wish I was 36 again. I'd love to be 36 with five kids. And no white hairs that I keep pretending are highlights artfully placed. :)

Hope your day was happy, happy, happy. And that your year brings more joy, more faith, and more love than you ever asked or dared to imagine!

MWAH from me to you.
