The Sweater... Again

The husband still seems to be alive, despite the unfortunate arrival of The Infamous Sweater underneath our Christmas tree this year. And - for those of y'all who doubt the... er... extra bulk of said sweater (size 1X), I present to you Some Proof.

TM and Mrs. Fish, wearing the sweater... at the same time

I promised the Husband this was absolutely the last post about his gift to me, seeing as how it makes him feel bad. Plus, I feel kinda guilty about my constant ribbing of him on the subject, since I don't exactly make it easy for the poor guy. AND he also presented me with a new Scrabble game on Christmas morning, not to mention allowing me to purchase Bananagrams yesterday. Because the Fish Family had the audacity to take their game home with them.

I know! SOME people!

But getting back to the husband... Scrabble and Bananagrams in one week pretty much excuses any and all gift flops for the next decade or so. (Although that's not a free pass, Husband. Don't get any ideas.)

Still... no matter what...

and that's One-X or 1X, not onyx self, y'all

OMGosh, I love Bananagrams! My friend gave it to me for Christmas. Only problem is nobody will play with me now because I always win! I'm, addicted though.

Gives new meaning to One Size Fits All! Shame. The sweater is absolutely beautiful. Can it be exhanged?

What's with Bananagrams? It looks intimidating. And frustrating. I haven't bought it because it looks like something that would sit on our game shelf unplayed. But people rave about it. Am I really that stupid?

You are so naughty ;) MY husband doesn't buy me clothes anymore. He'd either get me an extra small or a triple X large. He could never get it right :)

My hubby learned a long time ago (through a series of unfortunate purchases) to skip on clothing purchases for me.

I haven't played Bananagrams yet but it seems to be all the rave. Maybe that'll be our next game purchase. We had extended family here for almost two weeks and spent many hours playing Mad Gab - so much fun especially when the teams are guys against girls!

Blessings upon your new year!

OMGoodness...I bet Husband will not buy you any more clothes! Tell him gift cards are totally appropriate! LOL

I'm guessing the husband simply loves buying gifts for you;)

Did you get the new Scrabble card game? It looked like fun on TV. I've only played Scrabble once in my life as I am a horrible speller, you would slaughter me!!

LOL..Ok wrap it up and give it back to him in 2 years....when he forgets he got it for you....he obviously liked it himself right!

I think you should exchange the sweater for the correct size. It is pretty. I think it's a woman's nature to pick on our husbands when they do something like this. In a way they deserve it for not going into our closets to look at the sizes of clothes we wear.

Last but not least, that is a FREAKING huge sweater.

I had to go back and read some of the posts that I apparently missed while we were in Nevada. Too, too funny! I love the sweater. And if it makes you feel any better, I did actually gain about 7 pounds in December and easily ate my weight in macadamia nut caramel chocolate clusters.

It was worth it!

OK, I must check out Bananagrams. And hey, at least it wasn't 2X. OK, so maybe not. Maybe it was just intended for the two of you to snuggle together in. :)

LOL! My hubby knows better than to buy me clothes. It would be disaster, seven-fold. I am VERY happy with gift certificates, mind you. :-)

Ha ha ha! That was awesome! That sweater needs its own zip code!
Bananagrams...never heard of that but now I will (of course) have to check it out.
I say exchange that sweater...and for something more expensive...do it fast before he stops caring that he bought a sweater that could be a car cozy. Heh.

I'd tell you to return it, but I think you and Mrs. Fish have stretch it out. I take a 1X and don't have any sweaters that are THAT big. Enough already of making fun of us hefty gals.

Some men need more direction than others. I decided to tell my SH I would love something from the Brighton store that had a heart on it. It worked like a charm!

i'm catching up backwards---oops! but i'm all chuckles anticipating the other 1X posts...

and i just got bananagrams in the mail as a gift. maybe i'll convince soliloquy to play with me!
