Five Times 1X

On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love watched me eat:

five squares of fudge
four gingerbread
three chocolates
two candy canes
and a yummy piece of apple pie

which might explain why he gifted me with this lovely sweater on Christmas Day:

It's gorgeous, isn't it, y'all? Well... it's gorgeous except for this one small spot:

Yeah. Especially since I typically wear a 10. Or maybe possibly a 12. It's kinda grating to know that the husband knows me oh-so-well, he can simply grin when I point out the size and say "I was just thinking ahead." Ahead to the days after Christmas when I continue to gorge on the holiday goodies.

Help me feel better, y'all... how have you overindulged this past week? And please don't say you ate, like, two Christmas cookies or something. If you're gonna confess, go big.

At least 1X big.

There isn't enough room in this tiny box to type all the things I've eaten this season that are bad! ;-) Will be getting back on track next week! Oh those sugar, chocolate chip, Italian cookies were oh so good...

I baked (and ate WAY MORE than my share) of three types of cookies, went overboard in our family fondue meal, and in general filled my plate too full each time we sat at the table. Maybe you can send me that sweater now...

That's okay, TM. You can check out a "sampling" of the sinful dimsum I had on Christmas Day here and feel better. A whole lot better. Let me be clear: What you will see on the post were the photos that I chose to post; there were a lot more!

Yep. I'm equally guilty of over indulging. I've been tempted to throw away the Christmas sugar goodies when the girls and hubby are in bed. I always LOVE your honesty.

Hugs and Happy "almost" 2010!!

Um well,
It's been a week of STRONG willed children around here and I have slipped into the pattern of emotional eating. It's not been pretty. I killed a large bag of ruffle chips and a container of cream cheese dip in two days. ALL BY MYSELF. I've also had 7 dark chocolate salted caramels, several tofiffee and I don't bother to count the cookies, I just eat.
BUT on the bright side, I've stayed calm and loving through poop on the floor, wetting ourselves three times in one day, (it wasn't an accident) an hour and a half melt-down over going to bed and 5 mini-melt-downs. All while hubby is away working 13 hour shifts.
(Sorry for hi-jacking your comments but it's either share or open another bag of chips.)

You know how you put nuts and oranges and those chocolate candy bells in the Christmas stocking? Yeah...I've eaten them ALL! Poor Little T might have had 1 maybe 2 but the rest were eaten by me. The best part? They were gone by Christmas afternoon! Good grief....

Hugs,
Carla

My tummy is still not quite right or I would be gorging myself still!! Will hopefully join you in your holiday overindulgence next year!!!! Hehe!!! Oh, and it is always nice to have a big snuggly sweater around!! Makes you feel extra skinny!!! LOL!!

I thought that was what leftovers, all those sweets were for. ME. Right.

OK - lets see - dinner last night consisted of.....a bowl of chex mix, more Christmas cookies than I can count, about three white chocolate covered cake cookies (too rich to describe!) 3 or 4 pieces of home made caramel, a small hand full of these 'pretzle covered in chocolate with a mint' thingmes, a couple cups of coffee to wash it down, and after the kids were in bed just a dram of good bourbon to settle my stomach...which needed it.

That's pretty much a daily diet until after new years as well - and yes - I'll pay for it in January - but hey...it's just my annual vice! (And yeah - you really seem to be a 10 to us, your DH and whole family seem to be!;)

hugs - aus and co.

Probably would save me time AND energy to post what I have NOT eaten over the past 2 weeks! LOL! That sweater is starting to look pretty good! :)

I'm still giggling at your little diddy about squares of fudge, gingerbread, etc. :) I'm going to be singing that all day I'm afraid!

I ate almost nothing but pumpkin bread in the days leading up to Christmas. No joke. Christmas was followed by chocolate, peppermint bark, leftover cookies, and a couple more chocolates. Mind you, those chocolates are mostly truffles- my mom doesn't mess around at Christmas! (Any questions about why our favorite breakfasts lately have been noodles with tofu and tons of veggies??) I take that back. Ernie thought yesterday's cinnamon rolls were pretty swell.

Oh the fact that my jeans are constricting my air flow might be a good indication of how much I've indulged...or did I dry them in the dryer - yeah that must be it:)

Let me put it this way. . .There are NO leftovers in our house. None. Not the breakfast cream cheese danish, not the chocolate pie, not even the packages of truffles and kisses my hubs stuck in my stocking. . .

Hold up now...wait a minute! Let's get back to the part where your husband bought you a 1X sweater and he is still alive to see the new year. Or, is he?...Hmmmm.

Of course I overindulged. That's why I put my doctor's appointment off until NEXT week. So hopefully I can get a few pounds off and he won't have any idea just how bad things are! Ugh.

Red Velvet White Chocolate Cheesecake...my grandmother's fault! She's the reason I ended up learning how to make it.

I'm not including all the other assorted junk we've put away here in the past few weeks. Last night was fajita/quesadilla night because Mr. Busy-College-Man came home to eat for once.

If we keep this up, I'm going to have to save for liposuction. And you know what the worst part is?? I actually lost about 7 pounds right before Thanksgiving...and it all came off of my butt! So now my underwear keeps sliding down! I've gotta figure out a way to attach it to my belly.

Snort!!! Maybe he was thinking that you will be wearing lots and lots of layers under the sweater this winter because it has been soooo cold lately, and the sweater needed to cover all those layers. Are you buying it? Ok, didn't think so. How about this one. Maybe this is a version of a Snuggie after all. Hmmm....

By the way, did you see how many Christmas cookies Bri and I made this year?

Hope you have a very happy new year! :D

It's a beautiful sweater but I couldn't help but giggle.

Maybe he was thinking you were going to be layering it on top of a 3 inch thick turtleneck :-)

I have possibly gained 5 pounds lately. Can feel a whole muffin growing out of my muffin top. Everything is a little snugger. Not good.

Feel better?

Ahhhh, the Christmas eating... Gosh, I wouldn't even know which one to mention that was the worst. Maybe this one: I bought two bags of Hershey's holiday miniatures (you know, the kind that have plain Hershey's, Krackle, and Mr Goodbar in them) to send as extra stuffing in the boxes to the nieces and nephews. Then, I ate one ENTIRE bag (minus the Special Dark ones, because, bleh) while I was supposed to be packing the boxes for mailing. TubaDad had to make a midnight run to the grocery store to replace the bag. Oh, and the best part? I got the worst migraine I have ever had in my life the next day. That's right, apparently I poisoned myself! Ugh. (Still tasted pretty damn good...)

It's the thought that counts, right?!?!?

After dieting for 8 weeks prior to Christmas, I ate EVERYTHING in sight for 10 days straight and gained back 5 of the 14 pounds I lost. Good thing for new year's resolutions :o)

Happy New Year!
