Happy Thanksgiving

Have a wonderful holiday, y'all. Spend much time reflecting on your many blessings and cherishing your loved ones. As many of us know, they sometimes leave us all too soon. But as we say goodbye to and remember much adored relatives and friends who no longer sit at our Thanksgiving tables, we also say hello to the people who walk into our lives, sometimes even stumbling in unexpectedly, blessing us greatly as we come to know them better.

The circle of life. Coming and going. Hello and goodbye.

This year we at Tonggu House thank God for allowing us to hold so tightly to so many, for however much time we are given. The people we love are individual threads that weave together into the rich tapestries of our lives. If we focus solely on the threads, we forget to step back and look at the picture they form together.

And that picture? Shows how very blessed we are. Remember to welcome others into your life, especially those who are hurting and in need. Embrace the new even as you cherish the old. Say welcome to all who enter. Because we are all of us pilgrims in life, traveling to a better place, whether literally or figuratively.

Happy Thanksgiving, y'all. May you remember to share your many blessings.

Thank you for a great reminder that there is a holiday before Black Friday...sometimes it's hard to be thankful when life seems hard...even when there are SO many things to be thankful for.

You have a lovely Thanksgiving--we've already done ours in Canada but I have family who will be celebrating in the US. So hard after a death in the family. The sadness, yes; the blessings, yes. Each one to itself. Take care and stay safe.

TM, you have such a gift of being so adept at distilling the most complex into words that resonate in all of us.

You are so right...the hellos and goodbyes ARE life!

So glad you're in mine.
