Gayve You A Picture

A couple of you wondered how in the world I could still be sick. And I totally have an answer for you - I have Absolutely No Idea. I was starting to get better. The Tongginator was ALL better. The Husband managed to avoid it entirely.

And then... WHAM!

Actually, don't be surprised if the Tongginator's school closes for a few days. I heard through the neighborhood grapevine that a fourth grade math class of 27 students was down to eight students on Monday. I know!

I kept the Tongginator home from school yesterday. Her fever was a low-grade one, but her cough sounded quite impressive. She is back at school today, now with no fever and a slightly less impressive cough. She missed Ms. Confetti quite a bit during her one-day hiatus, so she decided to draw a little something for her beloved teacher...

Tongginator art, October 2009

Don't you love the ruled paper? Oh... and that line of rainbow whatevers on the bottom row... those are hearts, y'all. I mean, just in case you didn't know.

Of course they are hearts - what else would they be <3! And as a teacher - well - that would be one that goes in the 'keep forever' box!

Love the ruled paper, the phonetic spelling and the message- does it get any better? I think not! Truly precious!

The hearts do remind me of babies bottoms but them maybe I need new glasses!

Still sick... good question. Son #4 is back at school but the cough is still bad- we neb and he is on antibiotics for a possible secondary infection. I have heard that you need to be careful for the reoccurrence with this flu. Now that you all have a version of it again I'll be watching son #4. He is at a soccer game now sitting on the bench or coughing and coughing on the field in the cold- 42 degrees. Hubby is watching him, girls and I are huddled in the house! The girls did not get it and hubby and I just have a cold and a little achy feeling- I'm hoping we got off easy! Time will tell!

What do you think about the sw*ne flu shot? Sorry so long!

Ack...missed the grumpy post, but I hear ya sista! Yesterday's headache, rain and the fact that DH hasn't been home before 9 p.m. ALL week gave me the blues too! :)

So sorry to hear you have all been sick again......hope this is it for you guys for the season....more than your share indeed!

I can add that L was sick a lot last year in K; I was about ready to tear my own hair out...I even sent her with those individual packets of hand wipes tucked into her pockets....it was that bad!

BUT so far this year? Okay...not gonna jinx myself, but maybe those K germies gave way to stronger immunity?? That's the silver lining I'm reaching for for anyhoo...LOL Course I'm sure something will bite us eventually....I only hope I can blog with such grace when it does!

Get better.....LOVE the artwork too! Soooo sweet
