YOUR Tongginator Stories

Earlier this week I put a call out to be thinking of your OWN Tongginator stories. You know the ones I'm talking about: those moments when your child demands that a stranger fix her wedgie... when she explains away an eye roll by insisting that she simply made rainbows with her eyeballs... when she picks her nose onstage during a dance recital... whatever it is, we want to hear about it.

Give us a laugh, y'all. Some of us really need it this week.

Don't have a blog, so I'll put them here. My China darling has a way with words. We live on a farm. She asked me to explain the difference between a cow and a heifer. I explained that a girl calf who has never had a baby is called a heifer, but once she has a baby, we call her a cow. She thought about that for a few minutes then exclaimed, "Mommy, that makes you a cow!"

She also asked me if daddy ever saw me naked. Of course, sweetheart. "Does he laugh?" Daddy about choked and explained that he loves mommy and wants to stay married so he would never laugh when he sees me naked. Helpful, isn't he?

Now THOSE are some moments! And, in our case, the husband would say that because he would not only want to stay married, but actually remain ALIVE. Heh.

Here's my recent story. Yesterday, we went to the neighborhood pool and I finally got the courage to approach a fellow adoptive mother. As I was talking with her, I noticed her attention was elsewhere. Turned out that my 4 year old daughter pulled out my bra from the my bag (and behind my back) and was showing it around. Sigh.
