Meet Cha-Cha Girl

It's Friday! Time to check out what the Tongginator wore this week. Oh, excuse me... I'm being reminded yet again by said Tongginator that she now goes by the name "Cha-Cha Girl." Goodbye The Butterfly, hello Cha-Cha Girl.

Of course Cha-Cha Girl acquired this new name during the week leading up to her dance recital (it's tomorrow). And Cha-Cha Girl wanted to wear her tap shoes EVERYWHERE this week. Of course Momma said no. Momma also said no to the wearing of the dance recital costume anywhere either, at least not until AFTER said dance recital.

Oh, the tantrums. It's been a fun week.

I would like to show multiple photos of the Tongginator's wardrobe selections from the week, but I won't... because I think it's more ironic that my worst nightmare came true during her dance recital dress rehearsal on Tuesday. Yes, y'all... the Tongginator actually did what I've been joking she might possibly do. I didn't quite capture the moment perfectly, mostly because I was too busy sinking through the floor, but I'm sure you can look at the picture and guess...

Which just proves that you can dress up the Tongginator to look like a Cha-Cha Girl, but she will always be a Tongginator.

Oh the things you can do with that picture when she is older!

That was too funny... and on stage, too!

My son had a similar "moment" yesterday --on our bed. When I told him not to do it because I wouldn't want to be sleeping on "sticky" sheets, he wisely told me, "But Mommy, it's very small, so you wouldn't feel it anyway!"

As usual, I'm laughing out loud!

So, what did she do with it once she got it out? LOL

Well, in an outfit like that, you gotta boogey.

@ happygeek...wow. Just wow. You're a sharp one!

TM, stand up and be proud - that Miss T is YOUR Miss T. BWAHAHAHAHAHA. (I took my daughter to the mall this morning and after she put her shoes in the little cubby outside the tot lot, she attempted to remove the rest of her clothes as well.)

We stand proud, Mama. We stand proud.

Too funny! And you can always use this photo to embarrass her later in life. :-) Good luck to Cha Cha Girl on her recital tomorrow; the recital outfit is adorable. My daughter also wanted to wear her outfit all the time, but post-recital, she could not care less about it. Go figure.

When they are T's age, it's funny and cute. My kids' ages? No so much!

What a great Friday post - thanks for the laugh. Have a terrific weekend.

Blessings!

OH have a blast at recital - because I thought Amelia was embarassing at rehearsal and she SO outdid herself at the actual recital. I submitted our little story to the local TV station and she made the morning news - yeah it was that funny. (and I'm guessing no one else had any "Good News" this week)

How proud you must be! Ha! Ha! Ha! At our dance recital, Captain Daddy determined our little dancers were better suited for roller derby! He kept asking if the Princess was in the same class as the other girls. Yes, she has a style all her own! Bless her heart!

Thank you for such a real and honest post that gave me the best laugh I have had all week.

Yep...that's a five year old up there, mama. :) If she does that at 16, you can be embarrassed.

At least she's comfortable up there on stage in front of people...right? I mean she could be crying or hiding, but no...she's perfectly pleased with all the attention. :) And she looks absolutely adorable, too.

That is so my kids. I feel your pain. I'm sure she was beautiful once she focused on dancing!

OK, so this begs the questions (1) did she get it out and (2) what did she do with it when she did?

You have me rolling on the floor.....good thing the T is so darned adorable!

Love this picture!

HA HA! Too funny. I'm sure everyone thought Cha Cha Girl looked absolutely adorable nonetheless.

And that is the best thing about her! You have to admire her sense of self at such a young age.

Oh dear! Still, she looks very sweet!

OH DEAR! I remember VIVIDLY one Sunday school recital when Cecil actually rolled his shirt all the way up, tucked it under his chin, then massaged his nipples while singing. I was RED. RED, RED, RED. Mortified.

Oh YES, she did!!!

Gosh, I love that girl.

Just the other day, Miles and a friend were on the search for "The Booger Monster."

Maybe that's some foreshadowing...

So is she insisting on being called this constantly too? Cuz what gift suggestions can I give you now????
