7 Reasons I'm Blogging Late Today

1. The Tongginator and our neighbor JC decided it would be oh-so-fun to create playdough masterpieces on the Husband's beloved leather ottoman rather than at her arts-and-crafts table. Not to mention they failed to place cookie sheets underneath said masterpieces, which is a rule around here.

2. I have a sore throat and fever.

3. I am upset that Third Mom stopped blogging. If anyone ever wonders why I don't blog about Adoption Stuff all that often, this is why. Margie, I learned so much from you. You are an example to all adoptive-parents about how to "be" within the adoption triad.

4. I found out this morning that someone I know from the blogging community is the aunt of the boy I wrote about earlier this week. I already knew her brother's name (the boy's father), but I didn't make the connection until she e-mailed me this morning. I'm even more devastated than I already was. And I hope that this is the wake-up call our country needs to take more seriously the problem of wanna-be-gangs.

5. I feel so guilty that I haven't returned any of y'alls e-mails this week. It's difficult to blog when one is besieged with a tremendous sense of self-condemnation.

6. Did I mention that I have a sore throat and fever? (Not that I'm whining or anything. Because I'm totally not.)

7. The laundry is backed up again. Need I say more? Heh.

Oh no!! Laundry is backed up?? I hope there aren't any date nights planned for the near future!!

Sad that Third Mom has quit blogging but I totally get why. You can only bang your head against a brick wall for so long before you have to stop and ask yourself why you are doing it.

Hope you feel better soon. Say a prayer for us - a very hard decision needs to be made this weekend!!

Hugs,
Carla

Sooo behind on blog reading. But the last 14 posts of yours were a great mix. I laughed, I cried. You moved me Bob. :) A little Veggie Tales humor on this cloudy, dreary, cheerless teething toddler grouchies day.

Yeah. Four two year molars at once. Fun times.

And my heart and prayers go out to that family in your community. Such a great tragedy.

Oh my -- you've been busy -- I have a sore throat too. Maybe we can be sick together! My laundry is always packed up or done and just sitting in laundry baskets.

Feel better and have a good weekend.

Hey TM, so sorry to hear you are sick. I hope you'll feel better soon.
Ha ha! I love the first portion of Carla's comment.

Don't worry about e-mailing or doing laundry. Just take care and get better. Does Tonggu Dad do laundry?
Feel better.

Your sore throat, my ear infection (yup, flew TWICE, to & from Disney with an undiagnosed ear infection...can you say OUCH?!?!)...what's going on with all this sickness??

Huh? what? did someone say something? Can't hear in my left ear...sigh...

And that stinks about "Third Mom"...loved her blog! And that is also why my blog is very "generic" when it comes to that stuff too...

Hang in there, girlfriend, & feel BETTER SOON!!!!

Go do that laundry! ;)

wow, I am trying to catch up with everyone. Seems it is a tough week here. SO sorry about the boy's death. How horrible. Chalk that up to one more worry I have with G. Hugs to you and you neighbors.

Feel better soon TM and you can whine all you like, I'll listen I promise. I hate being sick too.

I'm just now posting to my blog tonight which rarely happens on a Friday evening, I'm way behind on reading blogs I'll admit.

And behind on laundry...the never ending basket of dirty laundry in my house. ugh.

Take care of yourself please... :)

Hope you are feeling better soon....this is a terrible time of year to be sick!!

If it makes you feel better, I have been behind on blogs for 4 weeks.....and as far as the laundry goes, it is always overflowing.....but then again, I don't have the laundry issues you do. If you only have the energy to do one thing, DO YOUR LAUNDRY!!

Hugs and feel better soon,

Lisa

Let the laundry sit and you just sit back and get better! Get better.

Just stop...

Rest.

The laundry will be there when you get to it. (Trust me - it's not going anywhere.) I'm sure your feelings of self are greatly affected by the fact that you don't feel well.

I've prayed for you as I've typed this comment and will continue to do so.

Blessings!

Get well soonest.
I HEAR you on the gang thing. REALLY hear you. The mob mentality that gets on is so utterly frightening.
I'd say ignore the laundry, but in your case I don't think that's such a hot idea. Can you con TG onto swinging by and doing a load or two?
You're welcome TG:)

Hey, they, I hope things settle down in your world soon!

Thanks for thinking of me, I appreciate it very much. I will be writing in new digs, URL is http://komapseumnida.blogspot.com/, this time more just about family and kids and reflections. It'll take awhile to get rolling, but stop by and give me some ideas to write about!

Happy Geek, not a chance! I have my own laundry to do since school is winding down, retirement starts on the 12th and I have been burning the candle at both ends. TH will have to step in yet again.

If you figure out the secret to actually getting caught up on laundry, please let me know. I'm ALWAYS behind and just when I think I've caught up one of my boys dumps an overload in the hamper.

It is heartbreaking that Third Mom closed her blog. She did so much and I will definitely miss all her wisdom and insight.

I hope you are feeling better today.

TM- Take care of yourself! Rest. Fluids. You know the drill!

Margie- As I wrote you privately- I too was upset about 'losing' your voice. I feel exactly like TM and am so thankful you posted a link to 'find' you again.
