Hotel Tonggu Open Again

Thanks y'all so much for your well wishes yesterday. I am quite on the mend, from both the asthma attack and the (ahem) panic anxiety other attack. These next few days will be a tornado of activity at Tonggu House, since our favorite people ever - the Fish Family of Five - arrived yesterday and will remain through the holiday weekend. And yes, they arrived less than 24 hours after our beloved Mrs. R departed. It's been a dizzying few days.

(As an aside... I so need to thank y'all also for welcoming Mrs. R so warmly into our little corner of the blogosphere. As you can tell, she's an incredible woman. We've been blessed to have her here this last month.)

We'll spend this Memorial Day weekend spinning and twirling all around town with the Fish Family, heading to the zoo (where we won't see dinosaurs), a few museums (where we WILL see dinosaurs) and generally storming all around Washington, DC. I'm too tired to blog tonight, so I'll leave you with a few snapshots from last night's whirlwind at our local park.

Two Fish, age eight, older sister to Red Fish

The Tongginator and her "China Cousin" Red Fish, both age five

Blue Fish, age two, little sister to Red Fish
(in a funny coincidence God-incidence, she
was born
the day the Husband almost died)

Red Fish... she and the Tongginator were found on the same
morning, just blocks from one another, in Tonggu County

All four girls, living it up on our local playground's tire swing

So... what are y'all doing this holiday weekend? Whatever your plans, I hope you enjoy this time with family, friends, or friends who feel like family! We surely will!

So glad you are feeling better after your blue experience.
Have a super fun weekend with your friends. Sounds great.

We will have a quiet weekend at home, planting some flowers, working on wedding invitations, doing some grilling, and the husband will do some outdoor painting. Notice I said, the husband? :)

Glad you're feeling better!

Us? One end-of-the-year-awards banquet, one morning on the lake, my son's very first date (pray for *me*), church, a sleepover, fishing and a BBQ.

We like to relax when we get three day weekends. Ha!

Blessings!

Glad you are feeling better. Sounds like you are going to have a blast this weekend. We would like to spend our weekend hanging out on the boat and beach, but there will be too many tourists here for that! We were planning a trip to DC over the summer, but we can't find accomodations for a family of 6 without spending our children's college fund. We may have to rsort to our Boy SCout training and just pitch a tent on the Mall.

Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned. We WILL get out east eventually, but probably not in the cards this year - mandatory unpaid furlough at work is crimping the budget:(

My niece graduates college tomorrow and my nephew high school Sunday - Tomorrow is also Amelia's referral anniversay and Monday is my 36th birthday - so we have A Lot to celebrate this weekend:)

Looks like the fun has already started at your house!! Enjoy your weekend and your company!!

Sorry to hear about your Asthma Attack.....but glad you are better:)

I cannot pull up your blog from my dashboard without getting that wierd error message, but if I type your address in my web browser, then it works.....so strange!!

I wanted to go camping, but I'm too spontaneous to plan anything ahead of time. Ha! Smart thinking on a holiday weekend, huh? We'll probably end up barbecuing something out in the back yard and having a water balloon fight. hehe

Sounds like you guys are gonna have a fab weeekend!! Enjoy the heck out of it!

We've got lots of cleaning and preparing to do for a celebration party we're throwing in a few weeks. So while the dh is pouring cement and weed whacking, I'll be cleaning baseboards, scrubbing walls and polishing floors. FUN!! I am hoping we can take a break and go see BB King who is playing in town this weekend. Gotta love the king and Lucille.

Well, I've just caught up with these last two posts and I would like to now tell you to SLOW down. But it appears you can't, with going to the zoo and the museum and all that.

I hope you get some peaceful rest soon though, lady!

Take care of yourself.

Lovely photos.

I wish we had made better plans...but, alas - no Memorial Day Plans for us. Maybe we'll find someone on Sunday who is still in town and have a BBQ on Monday.

Have fun with the Fishes! (hehe...for some reason the line "sleep with the fishes" just popped into my head...and y'all will be in the same house, so TECHNICALLY...alright. Sorry. Bad pun.)

Take care!
