Rain Boots... Again

The Tongginator is oh, so excited about her rain boots this year. Probably because she lost last year's rain boots in the Horrific Chic-Fil-A Incident that I so wish I could forget. And for those of you who remember the ladybug drama... I must confess that I broke my vow. Those Chic-Fil-A fries overrode any and all embarrassment I may possibly have felt after said incident. Oh, those fries... their aroma calls out to me like a siren's song. Yum.

Wait. Where was I?

Oh yes, the boots. And the Tongginator's love for them. (Sorry. It's the fries; they distract me every time.) Although the Tongginator misses her ladybug boots quite dreadfully, she considers this year's Hello Kitty pair a suitable substitute. She deigns to wear them quite often, probably because her momma (that would be me, y'all) made her suffer through one full year of cruel and unusual punishment, also known as One Year Without Rain Boots.

But it's April again. And she has a new pair. Can't you just see her glee?

No? You can't? Alright, I realize I make it difficult with my whole no-face-shots on the blog rule. Let's see if I can find some way to make her glee more obvious. How about now?

You know what, I'm not certain she likes those boots. It is hard to tell, what with her being so shy and non-expressive and all:)

I think Tongginator & I should start a sassy rain boots club.

Oh my gosh, the whole outfit is divine!! Love it from tip to toe. (And you KNOW I had to go read about the Chic-Fil-A incident--I was actually cheering when I read what you did. Super Nanny could take notes from you.)

Oh, I can see the glee. I also see the same Gymboree socks that Apple loves to wear. :)

Now please pass the fries.

I re-read the Chick-Fil-A incident to take notes:)

I love those boots! I wish they came in grownup sizes! And her glee is quite obvious even through all the text Mama put over her pretty face!

I had to re-read the incident too and you handled that amazingly. You go girl! And I love her boots by the way.

The glee is very evident with those sassy poses!

The pink Hello Kitty are cute. But, I still like the ladybug ones better! (Praying you have little feet for those boots soon.)

Blessings!

PS - You ROCKED the Chic-Fil-A incidient, BTW. There'd be a lot better behaved children in our society if they faced more consequences like that!

I agree with HappyGeek - I'm just not convinced!!

(Did I ever tell you BBJ used to have a pair of rainboots. I had to take them back - they were a tad too big, and she couldn't walk. She thought they were punishment!!)

She definitely has her own sense of style. :) She looks as happy as can be!

Great - now I am craving CFA fries.

For the first time, Bri decided to cross her arms and give a huff to her gymnastics teacher yesterday due to having to wait her turn. I let Miss Jennifer handle that one though. But I wonder how many items of clothing Briana will lose due to her attitude before the age of 5? I'm thinking a lot.

I am impressed with how wonderful you are coming along in these fashion challenges! Rylee went with a layered look this week too :)

Is it wrong that I was laughing hysterically at the ladybug boot story? Really, I could so relate to that whole scene!

You are right about those fries too - the absolute best. I'll eat some for you the next time I'm there, while I think about cute and sassy ladybug boots...

Check out Elliana (Miss Grumpy Pants) in the photo I just posted on my blog/facebook. She's in the background. Her fav pink cowboy boots died, but she has found a replacement....and it really doesn't matter if it is raining or not!

One doesn't need to see her face to see the joy she feels while wearing her cutie patootie rain boots. They are so cute and I love how sassy she is :)

I couldn't get past the outfit, to get to the boots?!!!

:) Your little Tongginator sure looks like she is packed with attitude!

What is it about kids and rain boots?!? I'm so glad she has rain boots again!

CC said...

I can totally tell she has the "tude" going. My kids love the idea of rain boots, which is great since you can wear them 9 months of the year here. But they never actually wear them.
