The Infamous Scream... Again

Early last Thursday morning, Rusty (that would be our cat, y'all) and I lay slumbering in bed. I snuggled cozily under blankets, drooling and dreaming, with Rusty curled right up next to my hip. Ah... those wonderful days when I WASN'T sick. And the Tongginator wasn't sick.

Suddenly I heard THE SCREAM... the Infamous Tongginator Scream. And I totally jolted awake. The cat bolted upright and ran out of the room so fast, he looked like a blur of fur.

TONGGINATOR
: Waaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

TONGGU MOMMA: (sounding drunk, but only because I was not yet high on caffeine) Tongginator! What's going on?

TONGGINATOR
: Waaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

TONGGU MOMMA: (swinging my legs to the side of the bed as I tried to pry open my eyes) Tongginator! Are you okay?

TONGGINATOR
: Momma!!!!! I need HELP!

TONGGU MOMMA: (finally waking up enough to slide off the bed, then stagger out of the room) What happened?!?!?!!!

TONGGINATOR
: MOMMMMMAAAAAA! I stepped in Rusty's throw up!!!!!

Cat puke, y'all.

Now, I may show little sympathy for frostbite, but I draw the line at regurgitated feline food. Poor, poor little Tongginator. I doubt I've ever moved so fast that early in the morning. I'll say it again... poor, poor little Tongginator.

That darn cat is a vortex of vomit.

Oh boy poor girl..what a way to wake up..stepping in cat puke! Darn cats and dogs as our little one does this from time to time although so far none of us have stepped in it!!

Oh yuck! Poor girl.
That Rusty! I can't believe he did that and then snuggled up with you as if nothing had happened.
But that's how cats are, aren't they?
They do it, and in an instant it's as if they feel fine.
Yes, we have a vortex of vomit here too.
Please share photos of Rusty sometime, even if he is a vortex.

I hope everyone at your house feels better soon.

I think the cat ran because he knew he'd been busted! And yes, that is the WORST way for either of you to have to wake up. Ugh!

Oh yuck. That's just nasty. One time we had been gone all day and our poor old dog pooped on the floor. The kids were all gagging and acting grossed out, except for Adam and Jeane, who parked themselves right next to it, squatting, and commented on the poop over and all. And I was TOTALLY stressed and kept saying, "DON'T TOUCH, DON'T TOUCH!!!" It was ....gross.

That same scenario has played out many times in my house. Many, many times! Except for some reason Charlotte calls it "momit" instead of "vomit."

Um.

Ew.

We have a vortex of vomit, too. Thankfully, the kids haven't stepped in it yet, but the oldest always points it out and is very fascinated with it. Yuck!

I would have done the same thing as The Tongginator but with a lot of cussing. That is disgusting. Poor thing!

Cat puke is the worst. Especially if it is still warm. Blech.

I hope you both get over your sicknesses soon!

Feel better! I say this to you, Tongginator, and Rusty. And I offer my sympathy - our cat, God rest his kitty soul, was a veritable fountain of furballs until he left us last summer. We stepped in plenty of them, too - one was responsible for my husband's broken leg, which took pins to fix. Now THAT'S some expensive cat puke!!

I hope all is well in your world!

YUCK!! That would have sent me into my own puke-frenzy!

Poor, sweet Tongginator...hope she gets over that experience quickly!

Eww... yuck! I'm sure that went over well with sensory issues!

I got woke up by my cat yacking on the carpet by the side of my bed at 2 AM one dark morning this week. Pleasant. Good thing he's so cute otherwise!

Blessings!

Bless her heart! That would make me scream too.

We've got a puker too. Why do they do that??? The other morning she had gotten it on some of the clothes I had laid out for the next day. Luckily, I noticed in time before putting the clothes on baby girl!! yuck!!!

Sorry to Tongginator!!! It's a horrible feeling!! Not a fun way to start the day!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

poor sweetie. It's bad enough to step in cat puke when you are well, but when you're sick? Totally awful.

Liene said...

Been there done that with the cat puke and stepping in it. I just wash off my foot and wipe up the puke. I'm sure Eriks would be totally grossed out by it.

poor kitty! i mean, poor kid too, but that wretching cat can't be feelin' too good either- first the nausea, then the whole vomiting thing, then having someone utterly grossed out by your illness.

hope ALL of you are feeling better soon. seriously!
