The Panda Room

I know that I've confessed to y'all that I have a bit of a panda obsession. Well... I might possibly have understated it a bit. Just a tad, you understand.

But now it's time to come clean.

Behold the Tongginator's room. Containing a mere eleven stuffed pandas. It could be worse. Much, MUCH worse. See what I mean?

Simple, clean lines with very few distractions... right? Ignore the fact
that her bedspread and curtains have a panda-inspired color scheme.

You should also ignore the pandas hanging on
the wall, the panda nesting dolls and the panda
trash can... oh, and the panda key chain
.

Pay no attention to the panda hanging from the lamp. And might
I also suggest ignoring the framed panda art created by master
papercutter
Hou-Tien Cheng? I realize it's somewhat difficult.

Pretend that the Tongginator's panda purse isn't hanging from the
closet doorknob... nor the panda Pez dispenser hanging to the right of
the window. (A Pez dispenser?!?!!! Could it get any worse than THAT?)

I suppose I could leave it at that... but I feel guilty now. A knot is forming in my tummy. Oh, alright - you win.

a gorgeous mural painted by a girl from our former teen church small group

and the panda quilt that inspired it all, purchased at the charity shop
A Gift From China on ShaMian Island during our 2005 adoption trip

Eleven stuffed pandas isn't so bad. It could be worse... right?

I would like to personally tha nnk-you for the song that has been running through my head all day. I haven't heard it since my hometown zoo hosted several pandas in 1988.
We've got Panda magic at the zoo in ____________
IT's causing pandamonium like you would not believe
So if you panda see them bring your friends and family,
Panda magic.
And yes, the tune is even sadder than the lyrics.
Thank-you.
