I Am An Idiot

Our good friends, whom we hardly ever see anymore, hosted a wonderful bash this weekend in honor of four incredibly important events in their lives.

Lots of great food, drinks-on-the-house, live music and plenty of friends we needed to catch up with. Not to mention the joy everyone felt celebrating with our amazing hosts. A great time was had by all. Don't you wish you could have been there? Yeah... we wish we could have been there, too.

Guess who forgot to write it on the calendar?

Oh my gosh. I hate it when I forget to put something on the calendar. If it isn't written on there, it is gone forever. I am so sorry you missed the event.

oh man! that stinks!

Don't feel alone though, pal. I missed a very important wedding last october. I spent the day cleaning my house and futzing around the yard. My friend walked down the aisle with all of our friends present except ONE....yeah, me.

Bummer...been there too. I'm sorry you missed the celefestipalooza (love that word)...maybe this is a chance to hang out with them in a different setting?

Oh, man... I am so sorry. Been there done that, too.

Maybe you can schedule an "I'm so sorry" get together with them sometime soon now that the holiday crazies are over.

Blessings!

Oh no!!! Sorry. :-(

Sorry...don't you hate this? If I don't write something on the calendar immediately, it flies right out of my brain real quick.

What a bummer. I recently did the same kind of thing for New Year's Eve, though mine can't completely be blamed on bad memory. Some of it was laziness in procuring a babysitter.

Don't kick yourself too hard. It happens to the best of us!

Oh no! Well....you are in good company. I've forgotten too many appointments and functions to name recently...I blame it on bloggybrain. :) Because it certainly isn't because you are getting OLD, little miss spring chick TM. I'm so jealous...oh to be in my early 30s again!

Oh, dear...

So sorry you missed it. I have 3 calendars right next to me, currently. One hanging inside the pantry door, another in my purse, and then the Paula Deen planner 2 of my bloggy friends sent me. I have no excuses this year. None!

Suzie said...

I hate when that happens :o)

Sucks that u missed it - I would have thought though that the ones who threw it might have called you and said "umm...where are you??"

Just smile and wave boys!!!

Hugs,
Carla

Well, I hate to tell you, but when you get to my age, it only gets worse.

In spite of missing the party, I hope your new year is off to a wonderful start!

If I don't put a reminder on my calendar with an alarm - I completely forget EVERYTHING! Thank goodness for the person who invented Outlook!

Bummer. Blame it on not being able to fit "Celefestipalooza" on the calendar. Sorry you missed it.

Such a bad feeling. I once went to a wedding reception of a dear friend one day late. I drove an hour and a half and there was no one there. So I called him and he was all, "uuum, yeah...we missed you. It was yesterday." There are no words at that point, so you just say, "WHAAAT?"

Oh, if I had a nickel for everytime I called myself an idiot. Glad to know I'm not alone in the memory category! Aren't we too young for that?

Oh man! This happens to me more often than I'd like! We missed one of Sam's bball games before Christmas and Sam had a fine time explaining it was his mommy's fault.

Meredith Teagarden said...

oh ugh! I have been there, dome that, but not until I was 38! Now I have to be oh so careful!

Oh, no! I have been there, done that, though...
