My Elf Years

What better way to lift the fog of sadness that recently descended upon Our Little Tongginator than by posting a picture of yours truly... a picture destined to embarrass me. Behold Tonggu Momma. As an elf.

I'm the one on the far right. Oh yes, I am. Would you like another look? (Please say no... please say no. But you are evil. You know that, don't you?)

Alas, here I am singing. Thank goodness photographs don't have audio. And double gratitude that I wasn't assigned the role of reindeer. I mean, look at those costumes. Notice the hand paw placement? I know.

And here is proof that Tonggu Grammy participated in said torture.

So what do you think of The Cricket Lady now?

I am thinking you looked pretty happy being an elf - do you still have the costume? Very cute!

wow...you must have been something to get to stand in front. I was always the tree, standing in the background. Really...just give me antlers or something!

Too fabulous, Mama. ;-) Oh, how I WISH I had these sorts of photos to embarass my children with someday! Because, seriously? Spokane Christmas pageants?

Oh yeah - to. die. for. We were hot.

Oh my, that is a laugh from the past, for sure :-)

Makes me think of the preschool nativity play I was in. I was a sheep. Yep, a sheep. My mom sewed balls of tissue paper all over some shorts and a t-shirt. The shorts actually stood up, they were so stiff. I wonder if my mother has any pics of that....Hopefully not!

I just want you to know I was always in the angel choir never any other cool creature in the nativity play we always held. I think an elf would have at least afforded the comedic relief, heh!

I always had to be an angel or a shepard, but never a cow. There was one time when I had to be one of the "eight maids a milking" though!

Too bad you didn't have audio to post with this!!

I love the way all the elf "do-rags" are on everyone's head differently.

The white hose and pillow case looking dress is mighty fine!

Do you still have an "in" with Santa to see who's on the naughty and nice list?
