Finding the Calendar

I have a little word of warning for y'all: when you die, people go through your stuff. It's practical; it's expected; it's necessary. And sometimes people find stuff that you didn't want them to find while you were alive.

Take my father-in-law, for example. I learned something about him that actually shocked me. He was a great, great man. A loving father. A devout Christian.

He also owned a Hooters calendar.

Can you believe it? I know, I know. I felt so shocked when my brother-in-law mentioned it. And I totally didn't accept it as fact until I saw it with my own two eyes. Allow me to prove it to you.

What a clever sense of humor. I didn't know the old guy had it in him.

How funny!! We brought back a small SMALL trailer one year from my parents house. We tore it apart because we just wanted the frame. Stuck inside a little cubby hole in the wall was a different type of magazine - boy oh boy was I red faced!! I called my dad up and he just chuckled and said it was from a long long time ago. When I looked at the date he was right - back in the early 70's!

Hugs,
Carla

Ha! You're too funny!
But it did make me think about the attic I keep meaning to clean out...if anything ever happened to me I'd die of shame for people to see it. Even if I was already dead!

You had me going! I was shocked since I knew Grandpa Squeak and didn't think he even knew about Hooters. How hilarious and don't I feel like the fool!!!!!!

LOL! That's hilarious!!

At least that's a funny one. My mom found some "love letters" between her step mother and her father -- but they were when her dad and her MOM were married. Yikes!

Oh my gosh!! This cracked me up. I was expecting to see the real Hooters girls. But instead, we get owls. :-)

I guess I shouldn't mention that my daughter and her friends were Hooters girls for Halloween much to the disapproval from her dad.

Hey, it's a southern thing!

You couldn't find better hooters than those anywhere! Grandpa Squeak was obviously a man of fine taste!
