Ocean Wonders

We are having a blast this week, despite the chaos and general craziness. The Tongginator once visited the ocean as a toddler, but of course she doesn't remember anything about that trip. Even though my two nephews are ten and eight years old, only Snickers visited an ocean - any ocean - before this trip. It's the very first time 100Grand, M&M and BabyRuth viewed the Atlantic, so their excitement hit a fever pitch during our arrival on Saturday evening.

Obviously the Husband and I love the Tongginator more than my sister KitKat and her husband BigLeagueChew (BLC) love their four children. I mean, loving parents definitely take their children to the beach.

Or maybe it has more to do with the fact that we live less than three hours from the Atlantic, while KitKat and her family lived in the Midwest until just recently. I suppose I'm willing to concede that a land-locked location might pose a bit of a problem.

But only because I'm generous like that.

Anyways, here are some of our favorite blog-allowable photographs from this week. I hope y'all enjoy them.

100Grand puts his feet in the ocean for The
Absolute Very First Time.

M&M proves that her parents, grandparents, uncle and
aunt (that's me, y'all) aren't too bright, since we all thought
it was a Great Idea, on the night of arrival, to stop by the
ocean "just for a quick look, but we aren't going in the water."
You can see how well that idea worked.

Snickers and 100Grand figure out this whole "body
surfing" thing that they watched the teens do.

The Tongginator assisted her cousins in building a sand castle
extravaganza. It only survived for a few minutes, however, because...

M&M is just two years old. Enough said.

This caused a Bit of a Commotion, until the three older ones
reread the back of Snickers' t-shirt. They took that message to
heart and moved on to Other Things Of Great Importance.

Like boogie boarding...

And digging holes rather than building towers,
since M&M can't really destroy those easily.
