Open, Fortune Cookie!

How to open a fortune cookie, Tongginator style:

Step One: Try to pull apart the cellophane by yanking on the plastic, all the while ignoring Tonggu Momma's offers of assistance.

Step Two: Again try to pull apart the cellophane, but this time attempt to roughly rip the plastic wrapper in two.

Step Three: Take a break and eat some orange sherbet.

Step Four: Try yet again to shred the wrapper using a few gentle tugs, all the while ignoring Tonggu Daddy's suggestions.

Step Five: Turn the wrapped cookie round and round in your hands, deciding whether it is worth swallowing your pride to ask for help, especially since you adamantly rejected all previous offers of assistance.

Step Six: Finally cave in and ask Tonggu Daddy to "please open it for me."

Was it worth it??? Tonggu Momma thinks so!

Wishing all moms everywhere a belated Happy Mother's Day (including "non-moms" like me)!!!!!

LOL! That is hysterical!

Of course, the whole time I'm reading it, I'm thinking "well at least she doesn't smash it on the table with her fist to open it like Isa."

That's funny! My older girl will ask for help but it's my 17 month old that will try and try before admitting she needs help.

The Tongginator is one determined chica. Watch out world!

Y'all are too funny.

I bet the Tongginator WOULD smash or crush the cookie if food wasn't so very, very important to her. If she pounded it, she'd probably smash it to smithereens, rendering it totally inedible (at least in her mind).

I totally eat cookie crumbs -- no issues with them -- but this is a child who shuts every door in the house as she walks past them AND whose favorite channel is the Food Network. I don't know if she'd accept smashed cookie crumbs.

Mamatini -- she'd probably have a heart attack if she saw Isa do that. LOL.
