Visions of China

The National Geographic Museum at Explorer's Hall (in Washington, D.C.) is currently showing "The Visions of China." This photography exhibit showcases pictures that document China's ancient traditions and the rapid changes occurring in the world's most populous country. The museum will display this temporary exhibit until July 13, 2008.

If you don't live anywhere near the Washington, D.C. metro area, you can still view many of the displayed photographs by picking up a May 2008 edition of National Geographic, entitled "China: Inside the Dragon." Peter Hessler, author of my favorite book River Town: Two Years on the Yangtze, contributed to this National Geographic issue in a major way.
